About Transition Networks :
Transition Networks is a full service Web 2.0 design and interactive marketing agency. Clients engage Transitionet to reach and convert new markets across all customer touchpoints. Transition Networks have defined, designed and marketed premiere brands across many industries and all media formats and continuously engage new digital media environments to shape customer experiences and monetize their client’s brands.

Background & Challenges:
Earlier Transition Networks had an static html website. They were facing challenges in content management on the site. Every time they have to add new content or edit any content they have to consult a designer who would at his availability use to update the website. Often website updation was delayed due to timely availability of the designer. They have compromised with the server security as they use to share server password with the designer who was not a good system administrator but knew to do the FTP. There was always risk of him doing some misconfiguration on the server. Moreover, they were required to take their own backups every time, this was time consuming activity for them.

Hence they expected an easier way to manage content on the website and at the same time wanted someone to take care of server maintenance at regular interval.

Solution:
To overcome the challenges we proposed Galaminds Corporate solution to them. Galaminds corporate solution provides website with built in features like news, blog, article, contact us form, image gallery and SEO features, Rich Text editing, content management capabilities and lot more. It is based on Drupal CMS so they can now easily manages their content, they can now add new content, edit content, upload images, delete images on their will from browser. They were not required to wait for designers availability any more. Further, Galaminds take daily backup, and the site is hosted on Galaminds server, this eliminated their need for server management tasks viz. backup, performance of apache or mysql etc.

Galaminds & Transition Networks marry:
Finally, Transition Networks chose “Corporate Solution” of Galaminds for their online presence. Transition Networks had already created design for their website that reflected their brand identity, hence we made custom Drupal Theme for Transition Networks and generated multiple views for their website. We also developed a custom module for them to help them manage content from a single control panel and thus they saved time on learning Drupal. This module have detailed writeups on performing all day to day tasks on the website. To make site administration even easier we added 'edit' links beside each and every content of the website, that way an admin user with appropriate rights can easily edit the content while he is viewing it. 

Basically we had done customization at presentation level in theme. It was mainly for front page drop down menus, case-studies pages for the image gallery, we created content categories and designed architecture to suit Transition Networks workflow. We create multiple image presets to manage image display in multiple sizes throughout the website.

After completion of the development, our content management team assisted their staff and worked with them to add content in the website.

After 3 weeks of effort in Drupal theming, the site was finally launched on 1st Dec 2008. http://transitionet.com is now powered By Galaminds.
