Gloscon's team was present at the CII Convention for Emerging Enterprises which was held on the 7th October, 2008 at Hotel Pride, Ahmedabad. The event was organized by CII in association with Deloitte Consulting.

It started off with the CEO's of different companies speak about the different avenues that a fast and emerging company should look into whether it is M&A, Financing options, Joint Venture's, Managing Human Resources and Implementation of IT for increasing the effectiveness of any organization.

We were startled to see that there were not many enterprises that worked in the Web 2.0 space in Gujarat and we knew that Gloscon is in the right place and at the right time. There were talks regarding Open Source and why it is becoming more and more imperative for companies to adopt to Open source in order to cut costs and increase efficiency.

Our team interacted with many CEO's to find that although the need for a very high end site does exist nobody really knows what the solution could be like. During our meeting with consultants at Deloitte and CEO of different companies we made them aware about Drupal and why it is so widespread. Also they were amazed to see that Gloscon was a Drupal development vendor with one of the largest teams of Drupal Developers in India. Gloscon is also involved in ourtsourcing of Ruby on Rails development as well as providing 24x7 Infrastructure Monitoring services to Drupal and Ruby on Rails customers.

The sessions were followed by thematic sessions with an opportunity to have a one-on-one discussions with experts on different subject matters such as Financing Strategy, Inorganic Growth Strategy, Business Valuation etc.

Convention helped Gloscon's team in understanding the mathematics of our business since other then technology one also has to look at the different alternative strategies for growth.
