31 December, Ahmedabad: Openkick announces the successful completion of Ilaaka Migration Project. Ilaaka is a famous Pune based social networking website that was built in Drupal 4.7. Openkick was assigned the task to carry out the migration of Ilaaka from the current version to Drupal 5.12.

With the new version, users of Ilaaka would be exposed to a much better performing site that will have many more advanced features. Also it would be much more easier for the Client to manage Ilaaka since it a can expect a much more elaborate community and professional support for its Drupal 5 website.

Drupal 5 will help improve the performance of the website along with an option before the Client to add many for features. In Drupal, support is available for the current and a version earlier. As the current version of Drupal is V 6, support is available for Drupal V 5.x and Drupal V 6.x Upgrading the website to Drupal V 5 will help Ilaaka get support for its modules. The new versions of Drupal also has community support.

With the completion of the project, Openkick is richer by experience in terms of completing its first Migration project while Ilaaka is on a very good platform from where it can give its users a better experience.
